On your first visit, you may not be sure what to expect here in the North, but once experienced there are many return trips! The Northern cities are very unlike the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. In contrast many buildings in Chiang Mai are still preserved from the old days, such as the city walls, moats, temples and other monuments constructed by King Meng Rai (the first king of the Lanna Kingdom) over 700 years ago. The North of Thailand is popular all year round as tourists can always find exciting things to do and see - No wonder it's called Chiang mai the tourist's paradise!

In the old days, Chiangmai was the center of Lanna Kingdom . Many tourist when they visit Chiangmai, they fall in love with Chiangmai and warm welcome to Chiangmai by Chiangmai untouched Thailand tour.

Travelling All Year Round.
During the rainy season (July, August, September and October) you can soak up the local atmosphere. Soak up the vibrant greens around you and absorb the fresh cold air with some rain. Don't be put off; the rainy season is just as good as the winter sun. Buddhists strictly observe their beliefs (precepts) on Buddhist holy days. Some stay at the temples over night as a monk. Farmers are busy, working their rice paddies on both the low and high lands.

The rainy season is excellent for those who love adventure, exploring and nature. It is also quieter since there are fewer tourists, allowing you to experience untouched Thailand and is also a very good time to relax! At night the temperatures remain delightfully cool.

The winter months of November, December, January and February are the most popular for a Thai holiday. Northern Thailand is filled with both Thai tourists and visitors from overseas. This time of year there are no limits to what you can see and do. The paddy fields turn Thailand into the Golden Land and you will see farmers harvesting their rice. December and January are a busy time for them and seeing them at work is a common sight. After their harvesting rice, many ceremonies take place until summer and it is a good time for them to enjoy their life after all their hard work during the previous months.

Summer is hot in most parts of Thailand, but in the North, it is cooler. That's why Northern Thailand never sleeps. There are many national parks with breathtaking waterfalls to release the heat. At night, the sky is clear and filled with stars. (March, April, May, June)
