1. Doi Suthep temple
This temple is located on the peak of the Doi Suthep Mountain and is the most famous landmark in Chiang Mai. They say you have not truly been to Chiang Mai if you have not visited this temple! At the top of the temple, you can view the pagoda made in the architecture style of the Lanna Kingdom and shining with real gold and jewels. The pagoda is believed to enshrine the holy relics of the Lord Buddha.
A viewing platform also offers panoramic views of the whole Chiang Mai City where you can take in the wonderful landscape. The sound of temple bells, monks chanting and the fascinating view of Chiang Mai will fill your heart.
2. Wat Phalat ( A hidden temple ).
It must be great to spend sometimes there to enjoy the peacefulness, the beauty, Cm. city views and the nature surrounding the temple. It is a hidden gems and it is so worth to visit this one, really different to other temples with the jungle ancients. One of my most favorite temples in Ching Mai. Beyond words beautiful place and it’s worth every penny! this temple offer you Chiangmai ( or Lanna ) and Myanmar Buddhists culture. It mixed both Lanna and Myanmar architecture there. It’s really really Worth to visit ! 3. The White temple.
This is a truly beautiful, amazing and different one among all of the temples in Thailand. The temple is decorated with a white glass background. The principal Buddha image in the hall and buildings around are designed by the master craftsmen themselves, beautiful, unusual, very interesting mural paintings on the walls. A must visit temple in Chiangrai province.
4. Blue temple
The most unique & colorful temple in Thailand so far. It is quiet and serene. The buildings are Blue , blue , blue and blue> that 's one of the Amazing temples you must not miss.. !! There is beautiful paintings in the walls and a big white buddha inside the main building..
5. Blackhouse. ( Black temple )
The Black House (Baandam) is being built and designed by the Thai National Artist Thawan Duchanee. There are around 30 Black Houses at present and the intention is to build 42 in all (at least at present).
The buildings are in a variety of styles, but most have been made with the color black predominant, even the few white buildings only serve to highlight the black doors and windows. Inside most of them, whether open or closed, are arranged various artifacts, so that the whole acts as a museum.
But it is a museum with a difference, as many of the objects are related to death or dying. There are skulls and skeletons, skins and broken eggs and there are some more traditional demons and gargoyles too. There is also, to be fair, some grand scene carving, some furniture and other collectors' pieces.
